On-Site Solutions

What:
Large commercial and industrial buildings that have flat roofs are ideal locations for rooftop solar. Rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems can generate clean electricity to not only power the operations of the buildings but can also host solar projects to supply electricity to nearby residents or to supply power for essential services such as hospitals during power outages. Rooftops can be used to own PV systems or be leased to a third party that would own and operate the system.

Why:

  • Reduce energy consumption and energy cost
  • Possibly generate new revenue depending on policies and incentives
  • Enhance onsite energy resilience
  • Provide energy resilience to communities during critical events
  • Lower land footprint and environmental impact
  • Reduce carbon footprint
  • Can be operated behind the meter avoiding the need for interconnection

What:
Whether you are a large electric vehicles (EVs) fleet owner or simply want to provide your customers with the ability to charge their EVs, we can help you install EV charging stations.

Why:

  • Support your own EV fleet; fuel savings
  • Provide service to customers and your community
  • Contribute to lowering greenhouse gas emissions by facilitating adoption of EVs

What:
Solar projects are often paired with storage to enhance the energy output of the system, especially when the solar energy generation is falling. Storage helps with a continued supply of electricity to meet your energy needs and therefore increases system efficiency and resilience. In addition, storage systems can also help supply electricity to nearby residents or supply power for essential services such as hospitals during power outages.

Why:

  • Lower electric bills
  • Reduce carbon footprint
  • Possibly generate new revenue depending on policies and incentives
  • Enhance energy security through continued supply of electricity

Off-Site Solutions

What:
The U.S. Department of Energy defines community solar as any solar project or purchasing program, within a geographic area, in which the benefits of a solar project flow to multiple customers such as individuals, businesses, nonprofits, and other groups. Community solar is a form of solar energy generation that allows community members of all types to access meaningful benefits of renewable energy, including reduced energy costs, low- to moderate-income household access, increased resilience, community ownership, and equitable workforce development and entrepreneurship.

We develop community solar projects with the intention of having low to moderate income families and communities subscribe to our projects thereby saving households with large energy burden 20% (or more) in electricity bills.

Why:

  • Provides access to solar energy by households that don’t have
  • An average savings of 20% on electricity bills
  • Economic benefits for local communities

What:
We offer smaller solar projects, typically 5 to 20 MWAC, that are built close to customers’ homes and can be connected directly to the distribution grid. These projects have the potential to provide greater returns and investments to the communities where they are located.

Why:

  • Since there is no need to connect to the transmission lines, small utility-scale projects reduce congestion in the transmission lines and get online faster.
  • Less expensive because of the lack of requirement of transmission interconnection or upgrades.
  • These projects can be built closer to communities.
  • Reduce carbon footprint
